As you can see, the Bonobo also has 7 chakras.
The root and crown chakras are located right on the periphery. The root chakra connects the body to the earth, and the crown chakra connects the body to the sky.
Each chakra is associated with a geometric solid: a square-based pyramid, the Platonic solids (Plato, incidentally, was also a Bonobo of the Stars), and a sphere.
Each chakra is associated with a specific color (but not the colors of the rainbow, even though that would be so much more poetic 🐵).
Each chakra is associated with a note (or, more precisely, a frequency in Hz), but again, not the ones you might think.
I will gradually add meditative musical compositions that use these sacred notes.
Sahasrara Crown Chakra Meditation Music — Universal Connection and Transcendence
This meditation music corresponds to the color deep purple (390 nm wavelength). The rotating sphere is the associated geometric symbol for this energy center.
The music is composed using the fundamental note that resonates with this chakra, at a frequency of approximately 699 Hz (which is close to the F5 note based on the A4 = 440 Hz standard).
The Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) is associated with the pineal gland, our delicate biological clock. This sacred portal is located just above the crown of the head.
The Crown Chakra is our point of connection with the heavens. However, this access to the vastness of the universe requires a strong grounding on earth through the root chakra; one cannot exist without the other. Chanting the sacred sound “OM” and letting the final resonance vibrate at the very top of your skull is highly beneficial when you stay attuned to the starting frequency.
When a chakra blockage occurs, one may experience acute cynicism, excessive materialism, chronic sleep disturbances, migraines, or, conversely, a feeling of being completely disconnected from reality (a lack of spiritual and physical grounding).
Ajna Third Eye Chakra Meditation Music — Intuition and Wisdom
This meditation music corresponds to the color pure azure blue (450 nm wavelength). The rotating dodecahedron is the associated geometric symbol for this energy center.
The music is composed using the fundamental note that resonates with this chakra, at a frequency of 606 Hz (which is close to the D5 note based on the A4 = 440 Hz standard).
The Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) is closely linked to the pituitary gland, the “master gland” that orchestrates the rest of the endocrine system. This sacred portal helps balance our hormones.
In a state of deep calm, the logical mind gives way to vision and intuition. Alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Shodhana) reduces stress and rebalances the two cerebral hemispheres. Meditation (Kriya or other techniques) on this specific frequency calms thoughts, develops extrasensory perception, and opens the path to inner vision.
You are in full alignment when you shift from an “anxious analysis” mode (where your mind trapped in repetitive thoughts) to a “calm certainty” mode (immediate intuition, gaining a broader perspective on life events).
Vishuddha Throat Chakra Meditation Music — Expression and Inner Balance
This meditation music corresponds to the turquoise color (510 nm wavelength). The rotating icosahedron is the associated geometric symbol for this energy center.
The music is composed using the fundamental note that resonates with this chakra, at a frequency of approximately 535 Hz (which is close to the C5 note based on the A4 = 440 Hz standard).
The Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) is closely linked to the thyroid gland, which regulates energy management, the cardiovascular system, growth, and mood. The balance of this center is essential for proper metabolic function. The balance of this center is essential for proper metabolic function.
The Bee Humming technique (Bhramari Pranayama) is a highly beneficial practice to do while listening to this music. Close your ears with your thumbs and place your index fingers over your closed eyes. Inhale deeply, then exhale through your nose while making a continuous humming sound (M-m-m), imitating a bee. The resonance in the skull and neck directly stimulates the pituitary gland and the thyroid.
Since blockages in this chakra often stem from things left unsaid, writing is an excellent form of cathartic therapy. Take a sheet of paper and write down everything you have never dared to say to someone, or to yourself. Express everything without restraint: anger, resentment, secrets, and regrets.
The goal is not to send the letter, but to release the energy from your body. Once you have finished writing, burn the paper or tear it up with full awareness. You will physically release the tension that has built up in your neck and throat area.
Anahata Heart Chakra Meditation Music — Compassion and Unconditional Love
This meditation music corresponds to the bright yellow-green color (570 nm wavelength). The rotating octahedron is the associated geometric symbol for this energy center.
The music is composed using the fundamental note that resonates with this chakra, at a frequency of approximately 478 Hz (which is close to the B-flat 4 note based on the A4 = 440 Hz standard).
The Heart Chakra (Anahata) is closely associated with the thymus gland, which is the cornerstone of our immune system and regulates our essential T cells.
The Heart is our energetic center for unconditional love, deep compassion, forgiveness, and connection with all living beings.
Experiences of grief, mourning, or emotional withdrawal physically weaken our immune defenses. Conversely, scientific research in psychoneuroimmunology shows that deep feelings of love and gratitude directly stimulate the production of immunoglobulins. This scientific data beautifully confirms the ancient wisdom: an open heart directly creates a strong thymus and a powerful immune system.
Manipura Solar Plexus Chakra Meditation Music — Willpower and Inner Fire
This meditation music corresponds to the red-orange coral color (630 nm wavelength). The rotating cube is the associated geometric symbol for this energy center.
The music is composed using the fundamental note that resonates with this chakra, at a frequency of approximately 432 Hz, which corresponds perfectly to the famous A 432 Hz tuning.
Fire Breathing technique (Kapalabhati) — To be practiced on an empty stomach:
This dynamic breathing technique awakens the energy of the solar plexus when you feel tired or lethargic.
• Sit comfortably. Exhale rapidly and forcefully through your nose while actively drawing your navel toward your spine.
• The inhalation that follows should be passive and automatic, with the abdomen relaxing on its own.
• Perform cycles of 20 to 30 rhythmic exhalations. Then, take a deep breath, hold the air for a few seconds while feeling the warmth in the center of your abdomen, and exhale gently.
The sign of alignment:
You will know the practice is working when your digestion becomes smoother (with less bloating or drowsiness after meals). Furthermore, when faced with a stressful situation, you will feel a deep sense of calm in the center of your abdomen rather than a tight knot or a burning sensation
Svadhisthana Sacral Chakra Meditation Music — Vitality, Creativity, and Joy
This meditation music corresponds to the bright red color (690 nm wavelength). The rotating tetrahedron is the associated geometric symbol for this energy center.
The music is composed using the fundamental note that resonates with this chakra, at a frequency of approximately 395 Hz (which is close to the G4 note based on the A4 = 440 Hz standard).
The Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) is connected to the reproductive glands (ovaries in women, testicles in men), which are highly sensitive to endocrine disruptors, stress, and the quality of the fats we consume.
It is possible to balance hormone production by focusing your intention on fluid energy circulation within the sacral chakra during meditation.
Meditation Practice:
• Get comfortable—sit or lie down.
• Form a mudra with your hands: place your right hand inside your left hand, palms facing upward, with the tips of your thumbs gently touching. Rest your hands in this position on your lower abdomen, just below your navel.
• Imagine a bright red light spreading throughout your pelvis, enveloping your reproductive organs.
• As you exhale, sing or silently recite the sacred sound “VAM” (the vibrational sound of the sacral chakra). Feel the resonance of the “M” vibrating directly in your lower abdomen.
To protect your reproductive health, make time for purely creative activities done without any pressure of results. The sacral chakra heals when you allow yourself to create without a specific goal in mind—whether it is painting, cooking, gardening, or writing—simply for the joy of the activity itself, without worrying about efficiency.
Muladhara Root Chakra Meditation Music — Grounding and Absolute Security
This meditation music corresponds to the deep red color (750 nm wavelength). The rotating square-based pyramid is the associated geometric symbol for this energy center.
The music is composed using the fundamental note that resonates with this chakra, at a frequency of approximately 364 Hz (which is close to the F4 note based on the A4 = 440 Hz standard).
To balance the Root Chakra (Muladhara) and the adrenal glands, the main goal is to send a signal of absolute safety to your nervous system. When the physical body realizes it is not in imminent danger, the adrenal glands stop producing excess cortisol, allowing the energy of the root chakra to become firmly grounded.
Grounding Meditation: “Putting Down Roots”
Focus: Close your eyes and focus your attention on the pelvic floor at the base of the spine. Breathe calmly and deeply into that area.
Visualization: With each exhalation, imagine strong, glowing roots growing from the base of your spine and the soles of your feet. See them passing through the floor, sinking deep into the solid rock, all the way to the Earth’s core.
The Safety Affirmation: As you visualize these roots anchoring you firmly, repeat these phrases mentally or aloud to soothe your nervous system: “I am safe here and now.” “The Earth supports me; I can release all tension and hyper-vigilance.” “I belong in this world.”
Duration: Feel a sense of heaviness, warmth, and stability settle into your legs. Practice this visualization for 5 to 10 minutes, ideally in the morning when you wake up.
